Big Idea

Answers to many of life’s hardest questions won’t come until it’s too late. Will you forfeit eternal life because of impatience?

Bottom Line

The answers to life’s hardest questions often won’t come until after the grave, so don’t let confusion in your pain cost you eternal life.
Job was blameless, yet he lost his wealth, his children, and his health in an unseen spiritual war he never got to understand. God gave him no explanation, only a reminder of how finite we are and how far beyond us His purposes reach. Job worshiped anyway, and God used his faithful suffering to show mercy to others and restored him with far more than he lost.
Job points forward to Jesus, who gave up everything, suffered without sin, prayed for those who wronged Him, and now intercedes for us. The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing to the glory still to come. Receive the forgiveness Jesus offers, worship God in the dark, and trust Him with the answers you don’t yet have.
