Week 3: Purpose & Possibility in Pain

God has created you to BE something and DO something. He uses pain to PLACE you, PRUNE you, and PERFECT you.

Suffering will come, but how you interpret it decides whether it becomes a setback or a plot point in the story God is telling. He used betrayal, slavery, and prison to place Joseph where many lives could be saved. He prunes even fruitful lives, so they bear more fruit, as He did with Paul's thorn in the flesh. Through trials He builds endurance, proven character, and hope. That hope starts at the cross, where Christ died for us while we were still sinners. Receive Jesus as Lord and Him what he's doing through your pain.

James 1:2-4 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
